Inspector Biography

Stanley Yeskolski

Stanley is a graduate of the College of William and Mary with a BBA and a strong background in science and biology. He has continued his education with certifications from the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industries, Exterior Design Institute, Moisture Warranty Corporation, Building Specs, Inc., Indoor Environmental Standards Organization, American Indoor Air Quality Council and specialized training for EIFS Review Committee protocol testing and reporting, as well as attendance to many educational conferences and workshops.

Stanley entered into the home inspection industry in 1998 after twenty years of working in the building and construction industry and real estate. Within the first year of entering into the home inspection business, Stanley won a contract to perform the Exterior Insulated and Finish Systems (EIFS) inspections for Pulte Home Corporation, the largest homebuilder in the nation, in their Northern Virginia and Maryland communities. Upon completion of the EIFS inspections, Pulte hired Stanley to participate in the development of scope of work for repairs and training for the contractors as well as inspections and testing during the repair process.

Building Specs, referred their Exterior Insulated and Finish Systems (EIFS) inspections to Stanley. Later, we hired him to develop and teach mold inspection and sampling, the EIFS and other specialty or advanced sections of their home inspector training courses. Stanley has been teaching courses for Building Specs since September 1999.

The Association of the Wall & Ceiling Industry (AWCI) invited Stanley to participate in the creation of test questions and determining the passing scores for the certification exam for EIFS applicators and EIFS inspectors.

Stanley also participated in the assessment of the scope of repairs proposed in the Dryvit class action lawsuit settlement for Dryvit before they were approved by the court.

He participated in writing the national standards for Indoor Environmental Standard Organization (IESO) on inspecting structures for moisture and mold as well as participated in writing the outline for the inspector certification course through IESO. Stanley developed and taught the 8-hour prerequisite moisture intrusion course for IESO and has been teaching the Certified Residential Mold Inspector course since the fall of 2002. In addition, he served on the Indoor Air Quality Association education subcommittee developing the core skills and education requirements for Council-certified Residential Mold Inspectors, Council-certified Microbial Investigator and Council-certified Microbial Consultant

Since being in the his current profession, Stanley has mastered EIFS and stucco exterior inspections, moisture intrusion inspections, mold sampling and has also been called as an expert witness in several cases.

Stanley has been teaching these subjects on a national level to other inspectors and professionals from many different fields since 2000. The subjects he currently teaches are: inspection methodology, using moisture meters, EIFS risk assessment, moisture intrusion inspections, moisture risk assessments for insurance underwriting purposes, advanced roofing, and mold sampling and inspection protocols for national certification.
