Baltimore County Rental Safety Measure Deadline Draws Near!
Baltimore County Council members passed a law last December that requires most residential rental units in buildings with one to six units to be inspected, registered and licensed by the County on or before July 1, 2008. Any landlord who fails to comply with this law is subject to a civil penalty of $1,000.
What Does This Mean for Real Estate Professionals?
Clients and Investors that are unaware or slow to schedule their inspection will be fined and due to the large volume of rentals that need to be inspected most home inspection companies will be extremely busy meeting the demand.
